A couple of weeks ago, my Career Mentorship teacher shared this video with our class. The fact that it is still on my mind weeks aftewards shows how much of an impact it had on me.
My fellow classmates and I have some huge decisions fast-approaching. We are facing decisions about majors, colleges, careers and more. Ultimately, these decisions are going to influence the rest of our lives.
I strongly agree with the message in this video. So many times, we find ourselves running through the motions of life, but when do we start enjoying them? We spend so much time and energy looking for things, what happens if we stop looking? Haven't you ever been in a grocery store searching for a certain spice or soup and just couldn't find it? But then, as soon as you stop looking, it appears right in front of you? What if life was like that?
My advice to myself, my peers and anyone else making a big decision would be to stop looking for the right answers, and start looking for the answers that will make you happy. The answers may be right in front of you, you just need to take a step back.
