Who are you standing next to?

I had the privilege of listening to Ashleigh Ignelzi speak to my mentorship class this week. I vividly remember listening to Ashleigh speak last year, yet I was just as captivated by her story this year as well. I think this is because she is passionate about what she does. She had briefly mentioned how she has not been on a true vacation in 3 years! Yet she said she didn’t feel even the slightest bit overworked. She genuinely loves what she is doing and I find that so inspiring.

When she started discussing how you should always be kind to people, I could not have agreed more! She is right, you never know who you are standing next to. Also, kindness and compassion are ethically the right thing to do. I think that plays just as big of a role in professional success as does education.
