Moment of Self-Awareness

I was sitting in my cubicle today mentoring, when I had a moment of complete self-awareness. Here were my thoughts:
I got this feeling that, if someone were to walk into my office at that moment and ask me to tell them about my assignment for the day, they would say that I was in the right profession. I felt that what I was doing made complete sense to me and I would love to be able to share my experiences with someone. In the past couple of months, I have learned numerous new skills and qualities that will definitely help me in the future.
That is the funny thing about jobs. Regardless of your previous experiences, when you enter a new job (or anything new), there is so much to learn. There are always new skills to gain, new systems to master and new people to meet. Life is always changing, so I believe that in order to be happy we must take pleasure in this change and embrace it.
Have you learned any new skills recently? Why did you learn these skills? What helped you? Did you take full advantage of your resources? How can you use that new skill to help other people?
